know the war has finally reached Redding Ridge. Using your book to help
you, prove the war has arrived in the Meeker's home town. You must
support your reasons with examples from the novel.

I know that the war came to Redding Ridge because people already came to the tavern and wanted the gun from Tim's father, but Sam already had it. The people were willing to hurt his father to get the gun. That means that people were starting to hurt Tories in Redding Ridge.
The war has reached Redding Ridge because in the book Life has to surrender because he does not have his Brown Bess and gets hurt . A group of men were asking for the gun and they were probably on the rebels side on page fifty. Also, when Mr. Heron gets Tim to deliver a letter, it seems that the letter is suspicious and that Mr. Heron could be a rebel. Then, if Mr. Heron is part of the rebels there might be some war going to start in Redding Ridge,a tory country.
One sign is that there are small villages with lights, so Tim knows he is going the right way. Then, it said he traveled all the way to his house by midnight, so it must have been Redding Ridge.
There is evidence that the has gotten to Redding Ridge. First, when the Continentals had came to the tavern they were looking for weapons. Secondly, when Tim some men were the escort, they actuly were scary looking men with guns. Those might have been soldiers.
The Revolutionary War has finally reached Redding Ridge, Tim’s hometown, and there are many parts of the story, My Brother Sam is Dead that reveal it. In the beginning, Sam and a few others joined the Continental Army, but most of the colonists in Redding Ride were still Loyalists. At this point of the story, there are cowboys everywhere near Redding Ridge and it is not safe to run around without an escort. Many people are rebels now, and more and more people are changing their point of view in the war. Life would have to ride a few miles ahead of Tim and the wagon to make sure that there were no cowboys ahead of them. These reasons tell how the war got to Redding Ridge.
We know the war reached Redding Ridge because it affected Tim's family. It's almost tearing his family apart. I know this because the book is saying Sam is fighting with the rebels while his father is a tory. Tim does not know what to do. He is torn between his father and his brother.
First, the cowboys come, which are probably rebels, surround them with their weapons. They probably wanted to steal the Meeker's cattle. Next, Tim realizes that father hasn't been back in a long time and father maybe got killed. Tim probably crashed into those cowboys. The cowboys were probably going to hurt Tim but he tells the cowboys some story that isn't true. Tim could've gotten killed! All this foreshadowing makes me think: more war!
We know that there is war in Redding Ridge because sodiers had came to look for the brown bess to supply the army and the family was being torn apart for his father and mother are Loyalists, and his brother, Sam, is a rebel
The war has come to redding because some rebels came to Tim's house asking for a gun, but Sam already had it. The rebels didn't believe it and didn't hesitate to attack Life. Because of that, it proves that already people will be coming to attack the helpless tories.
The war has reached Redding Ridge, and things are getting out of control. Some Patriots came and hurt Life because Sam had his gun. Tim and Life couldn't even get to Verplancks Point and back without running into cowboys- twice! The family has split, with Sam on the Patriot side and Life on the Tory side. Tim doesn't know which side to be on. How will he ever choose?
I know that the war has reached Redding Ridge because Patriot soldiers came into the tavern and were willing to hurt Tim's family for the Brown Bess, a gun. When Life said that he didn't have the gun, the rebels hurt him. This evidence proves that the war has reached Redding Ridge.
We know that war has reached Redding Ridge because first of all, Sam wants freedom and is a rebel. The rest of the family is loyal to the King of England. That is only war between family members, but it is still a war. On a much larger scale, the Revolutionary War is going on too. It is the battle between the Rebels and Loyalists. Another reason is that when the Rebels went to Redding Ridge to take guns from the Tories, they were so determined that they hurt Life because he couldn’t give the gun to them. Sam took the gun from his father so it was partly his fault that his father got hurt. The Rebels came because Redding Ridge was Tory country and the rebels did not want the Tories to start killing Rebels. Also, after Tim and Life got attacked by some Rebels/cowboys/thieves, they had an escort. As the escort did not arrive for the way back, Life had to ride in front of Tim and the wagon full of supplies to make sure that there were no thieves in front. Those are some ways we know that war has finally reached Redding Ridge.
I think that the war has arrived at Redding because a few people ran into the Bett's house and took everyone in there captive, and the officer was not treating Tim very well.
Many colonial officers go into the tavern to buy a drink and almost everybody in Redding has lost there weapons. Also the Rebels stole cattle from other people.
We know that the war passed Redding Ridge because some rebels from the Continental Army came by the Meeker Home because they knew they had a gun, so they threatened Life to give them his gun. They needed arms for soldiers.
The war has come to Redding Ridge and I know that because Rebel officers had come to the Meeker tavern and asked Tim's father for the Brown Bess. The rebels were starting to hurt the Tories and Loyalists. Rebel officers all know that Redding Ridge is a Tory country. Sam is a rebel but the rest of the family are Loyalists.
It had finally reached Tim's town because there is a war with family as Sam is gone with the rebels and took Tim's fathers gun. The rebels also came to the tavern to take the weapons but they didn't have any because Sam had it. Tim and his father also ran into cowboys which were rebels. War is yet to come.

Sam was fighting with his father when he went to his house. And finally when Tim and Life were going to sell their items they met some thieves and they said that they were going to give the cattle to the Rebels. Those are some reasons why the war reached Redding Ridge.
I know that the war has reached Redding Ridge because the Sam took the Brown Bess and went to fight in war.Some officers also came to Redding Ridge to get the Tories.Escorts started following the Meeker family to protect them. These are some ways I know that war has reached Redding Ridge.
The war has reached Redding Ridge. Some things that are happening there are rebels are disarming the Tories everywhere. This can be proved because Tim's father was being forced to give up his brown bess. Also, Sam is off on his own fighting the war.
War has reached Redding Ridge. Mr.Heron wanted Tim to deliver a letter at an early time, and he pulled Tim in his house. Also, troops were staying in the Meeker tavern and they were setting camps around town. Another reason is that rebel soldiers demanded Life's gun because they knew he was a tory.

I can prove that the war has finally arrived at redding ridge because rebels came to the Meeker's house and tried to take their weapons and food was getting short. In addition, many people were hurt and coming back to their homes. The last reason is that the Meekers need an escort to travel.

i know the war has moved to Redding Ridge because both Tim and his father both saw cowboys and the rebels came to Tim's house and they asked for their guns
There are many proofs that he war has entered Redding Ridge. One main reason is that rebels entered the Meeker Home and fought Life. Another big reason is when Mr. Heron started sending strange letters to who he said were "business letters". These are a few of the many reason that show the war has moved into Redding Ridge.

I think the message is mysterious because when it means trustworthy then that means Tim can carry important information. So Mr. Heron might be on the rebels side.
The war has finally reached Redding Ridge for the following reasons. Those rebels wanted Father's gun. Since they thought father still had the weapon, they basically beat up father. Finally, there are a lot of cowboys near Redding Ridge.
